Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Crumbify ("the App"), or by accessing the Crumbify website at crumbify.co.uk ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App or Site.

2. Company Information

Crumbify is operated by Crumbify LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17288992, with registered office at 60 Millmead Business Centre, Millmead Road, London, United Kingdom, N17 9QU. These terms are an agreement between you and Crumbify LTD.

3. Description of Service

Crumbify is a social food app built around a feed of the places your friends eat at. You add places by sharing a TikTok or Instagram post into the App, pasting in a Google Maps list link, or searching manually, then post about them, rate and note them, and save ones you want to try. Crumbify uses this to power a Home feed, an optional public Trending tab, a Discover map, reviews, want-to-try lists, groups, friends, profile collections, a profile wall with achievements, and a monthly Challenge. Crumbify does not connect to delivery-platform accounts via their APIs, and it does not read order history from screenshots.

4. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You can sign up via Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or email OTP (one-time passcode).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
  • One account per person. Duplicate or fake accounts may be terminated.

5. Adding Places

You add places to Crumbify yourself, there is no automatic import from any delivery platform or account.

  • You can share a TikTok or Instagram post or video into Crumbify via the share sheet.
  • You can paste in a Google Maps list link.
  • You can search for and add any restaurant manually via Google Places.
  • Crumbify is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, Google, or any delivery platform.
  • Data accuracy depends on the source you add from. We are not responsible for inaccurate or missing data.

6. Premium Subscription

Crumbify Premium unlocks Monthly Wrapped, removes Google ads (clearly labelled sponsored restaurant picks still appear, about half as often), unlimited profile collections with a premium cover library, and a premium profile badge.

  • Premium is offered as monthly or annual auto-renewing plans bought through the App Store or Google Play.
  • Both plans include a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
  • The trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • The price is always shown in the app and at store checkout before you pay.
  • Refunds and billing are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.
  • Premium features may change over time. We will notify you of material changes.

7. Founding Member

Founding Member is a limited offer, open to the first 100 paying members, of a one-time payment (processed by Stripe on our website) that grants lifetime Crumbify Premium access. This is separate from the recurring Crumbify Premium subscription available via the App Store and Google Play.

  • Founding Members pay once and never pay again - no subscription, no recurring fees.
  • The offer closes permanently once 100 places have been claimed.
  • Founding Members receive an exclusive profile badge and all current and future Premium features at no additional cost.
  • Founding Member status is keyed to the email used at purchase and can be restored by verifying that email in the App.
  • Founding Member status is non-transferable and tied to your Crumbify account.
  • Founding Member access is digital content supplied immediately. By completing checkout you request immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once access is granted; before access is granted you can cancel for a full refund by emailing support@crumbify.co.uk.
  • Lifetime access lasts for as long as Crumbify operates the service. If we ever discontinue Crumbify we will give reasonable notice; individual Premium features may change or be replaced over time.

8. Social Features and Groups

  • You can add friends, create or join groups, and post to the Home feed and your profile wall.
  • Groups let members share lists of places and share photos with each other.
  • Group admins can manage members, change group settings, and customise group appearance.
  • You can set your profile to private to hide your posts and reviews from non-friends.
  • You can block or report users for inappropriate behaviour.
  • We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate community guidelines.

9. User Content and Moderation

  • You retain ownership of content you create (reviews, photos, posts, comments).
  • By posting content, you grant Crumbify a non-exclusive licence to display it within the App for its intended purpose.
  • Profile photos and post photos are automatically screened for inappropriate content using Google Vision SafeSearch; content flagged as adult, violent, or racy is rejected. Screening is not perfect, so please report anything you see.
  • You can report users or content. Reports are reviewed and actioned by our team.
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
  • We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
  • When you report content or a user, we review the report and remove violating content and eject the responsible user within 24 hours.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure.
  • Upload malicious, offensive, or inappropriate content.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App or API.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, bot protection, or security measures.
  • Harass, bully, or threaten other users.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, features, branding, and functionality of the App and Site (including the Crumbify name and logo) are owned by Crumbify LTD and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The CRUMBIFY name is the subject of UK trade mark application no. UK00004426579 (classes 9, 42 and 45) filed by Crumbify LTD. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • Crumbify is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of restaurant data sourced from Google Places or from content you add yourself.
  • We are not liable for any loss of data caused by factors outside our control.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding any claim.
  • We are not responsible for third-party services (Stripe, AdMob, Google Places) - their own terms apply.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

13. Apple App Store

  • These Terms are between you and Crumbify LTD only, not Apple.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
  • In the event of a failure to conform to warranty, Apple may refund your purchase price and has no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for handling any claims relating to the App, including product liability, regulatory, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims.
  • You confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on any US restricted-party list.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
  • You may delete your account at any time from the App settings.
  • Account deletion removes your data from our cloud systems as described on our delete-account page.
  • If you are a Founding Member and your account is terminated for violating these Terms, no refund will be issued.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
